'By Example' is the Only Kind of Leadership
Your employees only reliably do as you say if it's in harmony with what you do. I regularly demonstrate my work and keep the focus of team meetings on how I can better support my team members.
If Everything is a Priority, Nothing Is
The only meaningful way to encourage a team to prioritize is by giving them permission to de-prioritize things. They'll be a lot more focused when you help get the monkeys off their backs.
Ideas Must Be a Meritocracy
My new team members might have an idea on their first day that fundamentally changes how we work. I let them know that I value the perspective of fresh eyes, and that if they come to me with great ideas, I'll champion them with all the emails and meetings it takes to see them through.
